Magnaprobe - magnetic field probe
A compact probe with magnet eliminates the need for plotting compasses and iron filings. Each unit consists of a small bar magnet suspended in a gimbal mounting. When the probe’s magnet is placed in a magnetic field, it rotates to align with the magnetic field lines in all three dimensions. The ends of each probe magnet are painted to distinguish the direction of the field. Use Magnaprobes to explore the fields of permanent magnets and electromagnets. Magnaprobes magnet moves freely on pivot bearings. Its sturdy plastic assembly prevents magnetic interference with the probe. Includes instructions.
