Project Description

Our class has been studying Westward Expansion. We have examined in detail the four major trails traveled by the settlers: the Santa Fe Trail, the Mormon Trail, the California Trail, and the Oregon Trail. At the beginning of the year we mailed out four stuffed animal bears. Each bear was sent to different schools as they made their way across the country. Our class received information from different schools bordering the four trails that describe what each bear has seen and experienced through its journey.
